TEST MANAGER
Want to play a central role in shaping how quality is built into the software development lifecycle in a large international organisation?
JYSK are in the middle of a significant IT transformation. Over the past few years, they have moved to a SAFe setup and are now strengthening the QA agenda by adapting a quality engineering mindset. As Test Manager, you will be a key part of this journey you will oversee the daily test management activities within your release train, while also playing a key role in implementing the overall QA roadmap across JYSK software development.
You will join the Head Office in Aarhus and work closely with colleagues across development, business and leadership. The role sits at the intersection of strategy and execution, where you will influence both how teams work and how quality decisions are made.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
This is not a role where everything is already defined.
You will step into an environment where test maturity is still evolving, and where there is a real opportunity to shape how things are done. At JYSK, there is a full commitment to build a strong and scalable quality organisation, and significant steps have already been made to establish a professional and modern test setup.
You will join a close-knit community of Test Managers who collaborate across release trains by sharing knowledge, challenges, and solutions to strengthen the overall QA practice. At the same time, you will have a high degree of ownership in your area and the freedom to influence the direction and approach.
YOUR ROLE
As Test Manager, you will be part of the leadership team within the Logistics Agile Release Train, working alongside Product Manager and RTE.
Your focus will be to strengthen quality and test maturity within the release train – where systems are complex, business-critical and still relatively early in their quality journey. This means you will not only coordinate testing activities but actively help teams move from a traditional “test at the end” approach to a more modern quality engineering mindset.
You will work closely with developers, test engineers, and stakeholders to define a risk-based build-in-quality mindset, introduce more structured ways of working, and ensure that testing provides meaningful insights into product quality.
The environment includes both SAP and Java-based systems, and while domain knowledge can be learned, the ability to navigate complexity and drive change is essential.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a Test Manager who brings strong test fundamentals and is motivated to build something – not just maintain it.
You likely have experience from larger organisations and have worked across multiple teams in an agile setup. What matters most is that you understand testing from the ground up, ideally having worked hands-on earlier in your career, and that you are able to translate that experience into clear direction and guidance for others.
You are comfortable working in environments where structure is not yet fully in place, and you see that as an opportunity rather than a challenge. You can engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and you have the credibility to influence how teams approach quality.
Experience with SAP or logistics is a plus but not required. Likewise, familiarity with methodologies such as TMAP or ISTQB is relevant, but practical experience and mindset are more important than certifications.
WHY THIS ROLE
This role offers a rare combination of scale and influence.
You will be part of a large organisation with complex systems and high business impact, while also having the opportunity to shape how quality is approached from the ground up. If you are motivated by creating structure, driving change and seeing the direct impact of your work across teams, this is a role where you can make a real difference.
